New Honda HR-V Sport pricing and specification announced

  • Pricing starting from £27,595 for manual transmission and £28,845 for CVT
  • Powered by 1.5 VTEC Turbo enigne, with power output of 182 PS
  • Sportier driving experience from 'performance damper' technology and unique steering setup 

A brand new HR-V will be added to the line-up from April 2019. The new HR-V Sport is a new turbo-charged model benefiting from performance and design upgrades.

The new HR-V Sport will be available with a manual gearbox as standard, priced from £27,595 OTR. CVT (automatic transmission) can be selected as an option, priced from £28,255 and premium paint adds £525 to the price.

Both versions feature bespoke suspension and ‘Performance Damper’ tuning, alongside variable ratio electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion system and Honda Agile Handling Assist technology to create a sportier, more agile and engaging driving experience.

The HR-V Sport is powered by a 1.5 VTEC engine, producing 182 PS at 5,500rpm for the manual. This is an increase of 52ps compared to the standard petrol version or 62ps from the diesel. The manual transmission acheives a WLTP-compliant fuel economy of 47.9MPG and CO2 emissions of 135 g/km. The CVT achieves 47.1MPG and emits 137g/km CO2. The top speed is 134mph and 0-62mph is achieved within 7.8 seconds.

Exterior design changes have been implemented to differentiate from the standard model, these include a high gloss black chrome trim, black honeycomb front grille, slim front splitter, side skirts and rear bumper.

LED headlights, indicators and daytime running lights are all equipped as standard and tail lights are enhanced with a dark 'smoked' effect and black inner bars.

The HR-V Sport has been upgraded on the inside as well, including exclusive combi seats in red and dark red part-leather, black roof lining, and enhanced support in the seat cushion and back rest.

The comprehensive suite of safety features, Honda Sensing, is equipped as standard alongside Honda Connect with Garmin navigation, 7" touchscreen display and internet browsing capability.
